Back to Basics

13x4x4"
Mixed Assemblage

$0.0000

Donated to
California Parenting Institute's 4 A Child
Benefit and Silent Auction at the Nov. 2,
Masquerade Ball fund raiser. This auction supports work with children.

This small sculpture was created for California Parenting Institute’s Benefit Auction, 4-A Child, at the Masquerade Ball, November 2nd, 2013.
Back to basics is a term used in childrens’ education, referring to curriculum.

From my bonyard of collected metal treasures, I chose these basic shapes for their negative and positive spaces.

The theme of repeating shapes : patterns, squares and circles, when combined, makes a simple and playful abstract sculpture.

I like the way the rusted metal and acrylic sphere contrast.
