|This gestural sketch grew from a|
spontaneous match of parts while "in que"
on my table of interesting small parts.
I was attracted to the various cross pieces and attached parts.
Then the arc and curvy parts tied it together.
The welding and joining required a light touch.
The second phase of involved constructing
a background that would provided contrast for this tiny sculpture.
I enjoyed the detailed customizing that set it off with texture and light.
This abstraction now has a strong, considered presence.
This wall-hung sculpture lives well inside or outside.
