This piece is about shape and line. As it often is with very special & extraordinary “found objects”, I took my time with the design and evolution of this sculpture.
My focus for designing this sculpture was how to feature this wonderfully shaped piece of steel. I wanted to give it height for visibility, and weight for stability.
I made it modular, in 3 pieces for more practical transport.
This also means its orientation can be rotated easily.
The energy from this sculpture is upward and outward.
Release is a unique creation. Elegantly simple, majestic.
It makes a strong, calm presence in the garden. |
