This piece is an exploration of line,texture and negative space.
It is compact with high interest areas, front and back.
My goal was to give it ornamentation
while maintaining the simplicity of its structure.
I built/welded the frame, base, supports, and panel. Then I decorated it with patterns.
This gives it a whimsical look.
It is sturdy, heavy and looks light.
This unique creation does well in a garden setting. |
