Many circular forms are arrayed at every possible angle in this madcap celebration of the circle. Playing with line, I put together a square-based jack stand, decorated with four flat aqua-painted and rusted rings on end. Gears transition to the next layer, interlocking vertical rods, that give this piece height. The third tier begins with a horizontal disc, topped with a delicate gear on-end, inside another ring.

The result is a elegant composition that incorporates space in each of its disparate layers. It is a wonderful jewel for yard or home.
