I had collected fragments of colored glass from the trash bins at a glass casting business. Fascinated with the look of it, I wondered how to use it without dulling its effects.

I found a clear acrylic container with multiple compartments. I shaped, sanded, and polished a clear acrylic lid for this container. I arranged inside: the deep blue glass chunks, some aqua glass chips, acrylic blue rods and various clear acrylic spheres. I sealed the lid with solvent cement.

I named it for the astonishing look of this piece. This unique creation brings these jewel-like elements together in a display that can safely live inside.
