This simple sculpture rises above the plantings in the garden. I had taken the parts of a display rack and made a circular pattern of those interesting shapes. This piece was in two parts. I called it Garden Corona.
Two years later, I wanted to add color and movement to it. I cut up some aqua acrylic that had patterns of holes in it.
I processed these strips:
shaped, sanded, drilled and buffed them. I attached them to the corona shape with reclaimed copper wire and chain.
Now the wind can move them and cause light to play with color, suggesting a playful water fall. Hence the name : Aqua Falls.
I am very pleased with the results of this rebirth. It is a unique, graceful creation for the garden. |
