This sculpture is about the luminus qualities of plastic interacting with some special metal parts.
I got the clear plastic tube to fit inside my favorite set of matching metal caps.
It was quite “tricky” working to install these dissimilar parts together. I could weld the base, but rest was out-of the-box engineering, with epoxy glue, and cotter pins.
I really like how the light illuminates the acrylic. I like the contrast of the metal and the acrylic.
This simple, sturdy table sculpture is a subtle ornament for inside display. |
