This wall-hung sculpture is delicate and fanciful.
This piece was shaped from a simple wire waste basket.
I cut each strand making two sections. I curled the wider circle of wires back and set the narrower circle of wires inside it.
I joined the two with a flexible wire across the diameter.
I accented the base with concentric circular pieces.
With glue, I capped the tips
of the smaller circle of
strait wires with tiny
contrasting- colored
electrical metal cups.
I like the spaciousness of
the results . It has depth
and a lacy look.
The contrasting metal
colors in the four circular
layers give a feeling of
strength. Light plays with
the wires, forming
interesting, changing
shadows.
This unique creation can
be enjoyed inside or out. |
