I welded a wide weighted base, putting feet on an arc, for stability.

I combined two sets of similar shapes. They looked like two beings. Now this took on a narrative of its own.

I named it Ad Astra, to indicate that it was related to the stars, perhaps a team of beings involved with stellar connections.

It has simple elegant lines. It gives off a feeling of power. Yet it is light enough to transport easily.

I really enjoyed engineering the simplicity of this piece. This sculpture wants to be on a table or pedestal, inside or outside.
