The human response to beauty is often a form of spirituality.
Sculpture influences the space it occupies, creating a sense of sacredness.
I had been given six stainless steel & glass dryer doors, by an art-loving couple who own a laundry. I found light captured by color on glass was dramatic... hence my first painted piece !
This disc became the inspiration for this sculpture.
Removable for transport, it slides up out of the sturdy supporting arms of the bracket (which is a gift of a dear friend.) The spirals act as guides.
I am so pleased with the interaction of the simple form and the detail of the "setting".The piece is a true gem ! |
