This mixed media three dimensional assemblage is made of clear and mirrored acrylic.
I played with space and the effects of randomizing repeating patterns and variations : square/circle, full/empty, solid/hollow.
By changing the sequence and combinations, the background developed a sense a whole. When I added the clear orange color accent, the pattern became a textured background supporting the focus color.
I really enjoy this wall light-playing sculpture !
This piece should be protected from moisture, and live inside, to protect the integrity of the wood, and prevent water spots on the acrylic. |
