I was inspired to make a sculpture that would feature the "found" glass tube.
I had to "trap" the tube. I designed the base to support the tube. I added the "s" shapes for support and to protect the glass. Now I had the basic structure, I had the fun of designing the brass accents.I assembled the bells with their discs. and attached them. I added the brass rings. Now I could epoxy the glass in place. The brass and glass interact visually and occasionally chime.
This charming sculpture needs to live inside.
