In my boneyard, I have a collection of wonderful curves in negative spaces. As it sometimes is with very special & extraordinary “found objects”, I take time to consider many possible matches and use.
I love the lines these spatial treasures can be coaxed to produce.
I cut, trimmed and welded this small gem.
As I connected the vertical patterns, the arcs were so interesting, I changed my planned accents. I didn’t want to distract from the intrinsic energy within the lines.
The green disc is subtle, light captured by color. The small gear playful.
This gives balance to the overall energy of the piece.
Spatial Effects is a pleasingly strong statement.
