These copper shapes in steel panels attracted me. They are the end panels of a radiator had survived the fire that had destroyed the connecting tubes.
I trimmed the excess raw edge on the back side of the panels. Epoxy glue now holds them in place.
I polished the copper, which now has a shiny patina, and designed a composition to display them.
I mounted the parts on a wire frame, welding the small steel accents, and trapping the panels with a fine copper wire. I covered the raw back side of the panels.
The wire frame supports its hanging.
I am quite pleased with the weathered results. |
