The steel feather was the inspiration for the sculpture. The title Seeker refers to a life journey or quest.
This little narrative piece is a mix of steel, copper and acrylic, all “found objects”. I used mechanical joining methods when welding was not possible.
It is a piece of simple lines, and interesting details, textures. I love the colors in this piece, the rust, clean copper and the aqua patina (that Miracle Grow produces on copper), interacting with each other.
It is stable and durable. It needs no special maintenance.
It is a table piece, the materials can live either outside, or inside. |
