I started with a small relatively light piece of “I beam”. I welded this as a central core, to a wide, weighted base. Now I had stability.

I next attached the arced rods, coming out of the center of this top. Each rod had a different tip.

The result is a stately sculpture suggesting energy bursting forth. It contains contrast, delicate and powerful.
