This sculpture sold at Fulton Gallery's Human - Nature show.

   
This piece is about coming apart, aging, breaking down from what has been.

I was drawn to the strength of these remains, the layers of corrosion referring back to another time and manifestation.

The verticals and their no-longer-used brackets instructed this composition.

I later added the energy of the open hoop, which just sits on the vertical, a visual contrast to the upward energy.

While this compact sculpture is medium sized, it is powerful. This unique creation is very much enhanced by a growing garden setting.
