The springs were the inspiration that began the creation of this sculpture.
I next assembled the sturdy base to support the jaunty angles of those springs.
The removable module that fits into the base presented me with the most opportunity to be playful and creative.
I joined the colored bits with jewelers' wire and crimps, an improvement over fishing line and knots with epoxy.
Attaching the stars with the keys was a fun venture with hardware and old jewelry. I Added the top at the last and had to suspend the module upside down from the hoist to weld it on! |
